Rebel Med NW and it’s integrative primary care team was voted Seattle Met Top Doctor…
SEATTLE MET TOP DOCTOR 2021
Dr. Jessica Schule has been an integral part of Rebel Med NW’s development. She joined the practice in 2018, formerly known as Fit Naturopathic Center (founded in 2015 by clinic director Dr. Andrew Simon), now celebrating its third year as Rebel Med NW. During her time as our Lead Female Physician, she was undergoing her acupuncture studies at Bastyr University, Kenmore, WA. Since then, she has graduated from her program and is excited to be integrating her naturopathic practice with acupuncture.
Her specialty focus is female hormone health (including thyroid health), digestive health, and sports medicine. She is excited to be utilizing the Balance Method Acupuncture technique, as this will be a great addition in female hormone balancing protocols, digestive issues, and pain management. She believes in finding the root cause and gathers quality resources, so her patients make the best medically informed decisions based on their overall unique needs.

EDUCATION & BACKGROUND
Licensed as a Naturopathic Physician in Washington state, Dr. Jessica Schule has received her medical training from Boucher Institute Naturopathic Medicine (now known as Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) – Boucher Campus). She had extensive training and experience with spinal manipulation, digestive disorders, female health, allergies, fatigue, mental health disorders (such as anxiety and depression), and chronic disease (including pain management, oncology, infections, and HIV). She was the first student to aid in an external (satellite) clinic where students still have the opportunity to complete their clinician internship, serving the Katzie First Nations (Indigenous) population.
Most recently, in June 2021, she graduated from Bastyr University with her Master of Science in Acupuncture. Part of her clinical studies was to spend time externally with a practitioner in their own clinical space. During this time, she was able to witness an every-day experience with Dr. Phonexay Simon, for an acupuncture patient intake, assessment, and treatment. Dr. Schule is thankful for her time with Phonexay and is excited to continue working with and learning from her as she continues with Rebel Med NW.
Jessica is a proud Indigenous woman from the Cree nation of Lac La Ronge Indian Band, from Northern Saskatchewan, Canada. She is the first naturopathic physician from her Indigenous reservation and continues to inspire others to trail blaze within the health industry. She has played competitive soccer (provincially, nationally, and internationally), which led to her own healing journey by recovering from her own sport injuries. She listens to her patients, advocates for their own healing journey, addresses the root cause, and gives an unbiased and non-judgmental approach to medically informed naturopathic medical care supporting her award as Seattle Met Top Doctor 2021.
THE FUTURE OF REBEL MED IS BRIGHT
Dr. Jessica Schule is thankful for her medical community and their continuous support and her Seattle Met Top Doctor 2021 award for Naturopathic Medicine. She is excited by the future doctors of this generation, as she is able to offer her expertise and mentorship along with having the opportunity to learn from them.
Our team has had the privilege of having Dr. Kathy Severson as the first CNME naturopathic resident, who has completed her residency and is now the Chief Resident Physician and seeing her own patients. Her clinical focus is dermatology, female health, digestive health, biofeedback and primary care.
With the upcoming year, Rebel Med NW has the privilege of having two residents, Dr. Kristin Barnes, ND, Lac. and Dr. Jason FauntLeRoy, ND. They are aiding in patient care with Drs. Andrew Simon, Jessica Schule, and Kathy Severson. Dr. Kristin Barnes’ clinical focus is primary care, internal medicine, and pain management. Dr. Jason FauntLeRoy‘s clinical focus is metabolic health, cardiology, endocrinology, and diabetes.
