Khairul Bhagwandin is a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc), East Asian Medical Practitioner (EAMP), and Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). She specializes in pain management, sports medicine, mental health, stress management, fertility, and anti-aging. Recently teaming up with the team at Rebel Med NW to expand her services to the Ballard community with her integrative approach to acupuncture and massage.
She takes a multidisciplinary approach in order to build a personalized and effective treatment for each of her patients. This philosophy is in touch with the Rebel Med NW team to create a sense of community and compassion in the care provided. Khairul Bhagwandin uses a combination of acupuncture, trigger point injection therapy, bodywork, lifestyle and diet counseling as well as Chinese herbal consultation in her visits to help optimize the health of her clients.
Khairul strongly believes in an integrative approach to health and works alongside with other health care providers and specialists to optimize patient care. Being a part of the Rebel Med NW team helps make this a reality by working in collaboration with primary care naturopathic physicians, massage therapists, and sports medicine physicians.
As a person with deep roots in actions sports and the outdoors, Khairul whole-heartedly understands the drive to function optimally on a physical and mental level. She believes that everyone deserves to live life to their fullest potential, healthy, happy and active. In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding, downhill mountain biking, backpacking and enjoying nature. This active lifestyle immediately aids her understanding of sports injuries, rehabilitation, and improving her patients’ recovery time from injury.
She grew up in the foothills of Mount St. Helens in Washington and got her Bachelors degree in Environmental Science at WWU’s Huxley College. Going on to Bastyr University to achieve her Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Khairul strives to keep learning and attends conferences and seminars regularly to stay absolutely current in her areas of specialty. Her more recent educational additions to her services include cosmetic acupuncture and trigger point injection therapies with herbs, nutrients while using acupuncture points
